LUCKNOW: In a sweeping administrative overhaul , the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred and reassigned 46 IAS officers, marking one of the biggest reshuffles in recent months.
Among the most prominent changes, Bal Krishna Tripathi , Commissioner of Vindhyachal, has been appointed Secretary of the General Administration Department. His successor at Vindhyachal will be Rajesh Prakash, previously Director General of Fisheries.
Rupesh Kumar, who headed UP’s Power Generation and Transmission Corporations, has been posted as Commissioner of Saharanpur.
Meanwhile, Bhanu Chandra Goswami, who held multiple roles including Secretary Revenue and Relief Commissioner, will now serve as Commissioner of Meerut.
In departmental leadership, Dhanalakshmi K moves from the Human Rights Commission to head the Fisheries Department. Sanjay Kumar, DG of Public Enterprises, has been given additional charge of the Human Rights Commission.
Mayur Maheshwari takes over as MD of UP’s power corporations, while Vijay Kiran Anand, CEO of Invest UP, will also oversee UPSIDC and the NRI Cell.
Several district magistrates have been reassigned. Rahul Pandey, DM Hathras, becomes Special Secretary in the State Tax Department, replaced by Atul Vats, Vice Chairman of Ghaziabad Development Authority.
Amandeep Duli, DM Lalitpur, moves to MGNREGA as Additional Commissioner.
Abhishek Anand, DM Sitapur, joins the Excise Department, while Rajaganapathi R takes over Sitapur. Krittika Jyotsna becomes DM Basti, replacing Ravish Gupta, who moves to PVVNL, Meerut.
Changes also affect development authorities and municipal roles. Pulkit Garg becomes DM Chitrakoot, Satyaprakash became DM Lalitpur, Purn Vohra heads Varanasi Development Authority and Rishi Raj takes charge of Prayagraj Development Authority. Gunjan Dwivedi assumes municipal roles in Firozabad.
Other notable appointments include Madhusudan Hulgi joining the CM’s Secretariat, Vipin Kumar Jain as DM Balrampur, and Akanksha Rana as Municipal Commissioner of Jhansi.
