Belagavi: The Maratha Light Infantry Regimental Centre (MLIRC) celebrated International Yoga Day at Belagavi with a series of thoughtfully curated sessions and activities. The event commenced with an inaugural address by Brigadier Joydip Mukherjee, the Commandant, who emphasised the growing relevance of yoga as a sustainable health practice that enhances both individual resilience and collective harmony. He said the the 2025 theme – ‘One Earth, One Health' – resonates deeply with the Army's ethos of self-discipline, balance, and unity with nature. Soldiers, families, and schoolchildren of Army Public School, Belagavi participated in large numbers, demonstrating their commitment to wellness. The week-long celebrations included a diverse array of practices such as Hath Yoga, Pranayama, and guided meditation.
