It's pretty rare that you get something for nothing, but one broadband supplier - that rivals BT and Sky - is offering exactly that. The team at Community Fibre has just announced a new incentive: the chance to have the web beamed into living rooms without paying anything for the privilege.
This enticing deal is even available on the Internet Service Provider's more rapid 1Gbps connection, which can whizz an HD movie to TVs in under 40 seconds. As a guide, 1Gbps is over 10 times faster than the current UK average.
Other plans available for free include Community Fibre's 100Mbps and 300Mbps options.
These are clearly stellar offers, but like everything in life, there are some catches.
Firstly, Community Fibre is not available across the whole of the country with it only currently supplying parts of London. Right now there are around two million homes that can access Community Fibre's network - check your postcode here.
The next thing to note is that this deal only last for the first three months of the plan with things then rising to a standard fee. That said, Community Fibre's broadband is pretty cheap with things starting from just £19 per month once the freebie ends.
Finally, you will need to sign up for a 24-month contract to get the best price.

Community Fibre is what is know as an Alternative Network (Alt Net) which are now popping up all over the country. Before you sign your next deal with one of the main providers such as BT or Virgin Media, it's worth checking to see if anyone new has arrived in your street.
Names to watch out for include Hyperoptic, Trooli, Gigaclear and YouFibre.
By signing up to an Alt Net you may find you get far better speeds at a much cheaper price. For example, Trooli is currently offering 900Mbps speeds for £29.99 per month. BT is currently charging £38.99 for those same downloads.
So, shop around - it might save you some serious money.
