The beautiful sandy stretch which is accompanied by "crystal blue waters" featured on TripAdvisor's list Best of Best Beaches, as part of the travel company's Traveller's Choice Awards, which selects destinations based on reviews and opinions over a 12-month period.
, is located in the seaside town of Tropea which sits on the west coast of the Calabria region in . The resort is renowned for its picturesque coastline that offers mesmerising views. TripAdvisor said: "Tropea Beach has everything you need for a memorable beach day - however you observe. Sunbeds, umbrella, and a beach bar are available for sunbathers, while the clear waters are ripe for swimmers and snorkelers."
The world-class beach has an impressive rating of 4.5 stars with 3,809 reviews. One reviewer who visited recently said: "I visited Tropea in early May and was delighted with its crystal clear waters and the charm of its historic center. I really enjoyed the local food and explored the attractions of the city before the summer crowds arrived."

The Catherdral of Maria Santissima di Romania, also known as the Cathedral of Tropea is described by as "one of Calabria's most fascinating places of worship" by the region's tourism board.
The bascilia-shaped landmark was built in 1163, has been remodelled several times over the centuries and then was completely restored in the twentieth-century. Today, it is home to a beautiful collections of art including a marble high relief of the .
