The legend of Robin Hood has been told numerous times before in different formats, but the latest adaptation promises to be a "smart, sweeping, romantic adventure".
With the focus on the relationship between Robin and Marian, the series brings "historical authenticity and psychological depth".
From the creator of SEAL Team, John Glenn, it shines a light on newcomer Jack Patten in the title role.
The synopsis reads: "A Saxon forester's son, Rob, and the daughter of a Norman lord, Marian, work together to fight for justice and freedom following the Norman invasion of England in the Middle Ages.
"Rob becomes the leader of a band of rebel outlaws while Marian infiltrates the Norman courts, as they collaborate to thwart royal corruption and bring peace to England."
The series will have a double-bill premiere on Sunday, November 2.
Following this, the episodes will continue to air weekly on Sundays until the finale on December 28.

Australian actor Jack Patten leads the cast as Robin Hood in his first big TV role.
Prior to this, he had a guest role in an episode of NCIS: Sydney, and starred in the film War Machine.
Lauren McQueen stars as Marian, and she is best known for playing Lily Drinkwell in Hollyoaks.
Sean Bean plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, with Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham.
Steven Waddington stars as the Earl of Huntingdon, with Marcus Fraser as Little John.
Angus Castle-Doughty plays Friar Tuck, Henry Rowley is Will and Connie Nielsen is Eleanor of Aquitaine.

Meanwhile, Robin realises he must choose good over acts of revenge and resentment.

The ten-episode first season will premiere on MGM+ in the UK.
