Nigel Farage attacked "cretinous" opponents and said one top MP should be in hiding in an explosive takedown of his political rivals. Speaking exclusively on our new Daily Expresso news show, the Reform UK leader gave a brutal assessment of the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats parties. Asked about Lib Dem claims likening him to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Farage said: "That really is cretinous isn't it, that really is cretinous. Everything with them is some sort of conspiracy theory. It's quite interesting wasn't it, there was a big reveal last week of stopping members of the public and showing them photographs and only 25% of the population could identify Ed Davey after all those years as Lib Dem leader."

Mr Farage turned his fire on shadow home secretary Chris Philp, claiming his track record on tackling immigration meant he should be "in hiding".

"There's a bloke called Philp, he's a shadow minister, and he was doing the rounds - very forgettable human being - but he was doing the rounds this morning and saying what they would do with the migrant hotels," he said.

"And the interviewer said 'but Mr Philp, you were the immigration minister when all these hotels were opening.

"I mean, Philp shouldn't be on the media, he should be in hiding."

Branding shadow justice secretary Rob Jenrick "Robert Generic", Mr Farage went on: "He's been like St Paul on the road to Damascus, this blinding light in the skies."

Mr Farage said Sir Keir "just repeatedly lies to us" and questioned whether the PM actually believes what he is saying.

He added: "I did think before the recess, there was a look about him in the eyes.

"He kind of looked beaten. He looked really down, maybe he comes back refreshed, I don't know, but it looked to me like he really wasn't enjoying it in any way at all."

Speaking on our new weekday show, The Daily Expresso, the Reform UK leader Farage interrupted host JJ Anisiobi as he mentioned Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, joking: "Sorry, who's that?"

"Oh, I know, I saw her once on the telly," he added. "She's a Conservative isn't she?"

Mr Farage predicted Ms Badenoch will be forced out of her job within months.

"It will all be over by Christmas. She'll be gone," he said.

"I would put Kemi out by Christmas at 50/50. She may stay until May. I think in May they will be wiped out in Scotland, pretty much wiped out in Wales, and almost cease to be a national party. This is historic. What's going on here is historic."

Mr Farage was speaking to the Daily Expresso, a new weekday show that launched today on , Apple and Spotify.

It is hosted by Express Assistant Editor JJ Anisiobi with regular co-hosts, including our columnists Carole Malone and Esther McVey, along with Belinda de Lucy, a former Brexit Party MEP.
