Three lanes of traffic have been closed on the M62 near Manchester following a crash involving four vehicles. Queues built in both directions between junctions 11 at Birchwood and 12 for the M60 Eccles Interchange this morning (October 23).
National Highways says drivers are facing queues of roughly and hour and a half. A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "At around 7.50am this morning, officers responded to reports of a collision between J11 and J12 on the M62. Thankfully, no serious injuries have been reported. Work is ongoing to clear the area."
