Meghan Markle's rosé finally hit the e-shelves as As Ever's first wine was available to purchase just after 4pm BST on Tuesday and much to the Duchess of Sussex's delight it sold out in less than 45 minutes. Prince Harry's wife's latest product came in batches of three, six and twelve, with each bottle costing £22 ($30) and £66 ($90), £116 ($159) and £218 ($300) in total. It was available to purchase only within the US.
Jane Moore has since addressed Meghan's new move but issued a scathing response to the public hoping to get their hands on a bottle. The rosé, sourced from California's Napa Valley, is a bespoke blend and, according to the brand's description, features "soft notes of stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a lasting finish". But the Loose Women panellist, 63, has since reacted to the former royal's latest move.
Writing in her column for The Sun Jane said: "And yesterday, she launched her own brand of rose wine which, assuming she and Harry haven't started treading their own grapes, is no doubt produced by someone else too.But they're not the mugs, are they?
"No, that honour belongs to anyone who pays a premium for something with the 'Sussex' name on that could be bought far more cheaply without it."
The rosé is Meghan's first foray into the wine market - with the product sourced from the famous region of California, up the west coast from her Montecito mansion.
In a post on Instagram, her As Ever brand said: "It's here! Raise a glass to the newest addition to the As ever family. Our beautiful Napa Valley rose is now available".
A short clip showed the wine being poured into a glass, with accompanying sound.
