James Martin's Saturday Morning show is getting a new "generous slot" as part of a revamp.

The chef's ITV programme, which launched in 2017 and enjoys massive popularity with audiences, broadcasts on Saturdays from 9.30am and already runs for over two hours.

However, the broadcaster has announced that from January next year devotees will receive an extended edition continuing until noon, after robust ratings.

ITV stated the expanded slot would feature "a feast of great recipes, celebrity guests and lively entertainment", elements the television favourite has become renowned for.

The announcement follows an outstanding year for James' successful series, which achieved its highest viewing share since 2017, reports the Mirror.

Its 2025 performance also witnessed its audience share increase by 8%.

ITV has additionally announced that Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith will return with a third series of her Cotswold Kitchen programme.

The show, which features Prue creating mouth-watering dishes in her countryside residence, debuted last year and proved enormously popular. Viewers were delighted by the recipes showcased on the series and also enjoyed glimpses of the TV personality's husband John, who appears in the kitchen.

Following its successful launch, a second series of Cotswold Kitchen aired this year.

Culinary fans are also destined to enjoy a fresh series starring chef Ainsley Harriott, who is recognised for other cooking programmes including Can't Cook, Won't Cook and Ready Steady Cook.

His Taste of the Bahamas series, dubbed a "culinary adventure", will broadcast for half an hour and will see the chef delve into the flavours and culture of the Caribbean.
