Aaj Ka Mausam LIVE: The mood of the weather is changing across the country now. The southwest monsoon is becoming active in new areas every day. Due to the monsoon, there is continuous torrential rain in Gujarat. Normal life in Gujarat has been disrupted due to rain. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for rain given the situation. The local administration along with the common people has been advised to remain alert. Due to the monsoon, there is good rain in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. At the same time, now the monsoon has reached the doorstep of the country's capital Delhi.
Delhi-NCR is receiving continuous pre-monsoon rains. After the monsoon becomes active, the speed of rain will increase further. On the other hand, a new system is developing in the Bay of Bengal. Meteorologists believe that due to this the monsoon will become even stronger and the speed of torrential rain will increase. The forecast of good rains is good news for farming. Farmers across the country are busy preparing for Dhan farming.
Monsoon has reached the threshold of Delhi-NCR. According to meteorologists, the southwest monsoon is showing signs of reaching the capital Delhi before time. From Sunday itself, favorable conditions had been created for the arrival of monsoon. Except for rain, all other parameters have become favorable for the monsoon. Like the lower surface winds have become easterly, the day temperature has gone below normal, the humidity is very high and the humid conditions have been prevailing for the last two days. It is believed that the official announcement of the entry of monsoon in Delhi can be made on Tuesday 24 June 2025, which will be about three days before the normal date.
Be alert for the next 48 hours!
The southwest monsoon has gained momentum in Gujarat. Heavy rains, landslides, and orange alert conditions persist in many districts. Due to the area of cyclonic winds and the deepening monsoon trough (line of moist winds), it is raining continuously across the state, due to which normal life has been affected. Given the weather conditions, an orange alert for heavy rains has been issued till June 26, 2025. At the same time, an old low-pressure area is still active in the central part of Uttar Pradesh, due to which the speed of the monsoon remains intact. Also, a new cyclonic wind area is forming in the Bay of Bengal and the Gangetic plains, which may intensify in the next 48 hours. This system is giving more strength to the monsoon winds, especially in the coastal areas of South Gujarat.
New system in the Bay of Bengal
Cyclonic circulation and low-pressure areas formed in the Bay of Bengal (BoB) are the main systems that give impetus to the monsoon. The system that was formed recently weakened after going to East and Central Uttar Pradesh via West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. According to Skymet Weather, a new cyclonic circulation is likely to form over West Bengal and the adjoining Bay of Bengal on June 25. A deep trough line is formed in this area, which may persist for the next 48 hours. This may create a new low pressure area. This system may remain stable in the same area for about three days. After this, this system will move northward. However, the accuracy of forecasting beyond five days is low, so it is difficult to give an accurate estimate of the situation ahead. However, with the formation of a new system in the Bay of Bengal, the monsoon is likely to strengthen further in states like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh.
