Terence Crawford vowed to make Canelo Alvarez pay for shoving him during their face-off.
Crawford and Alvarez will meet in Las Vegas on September 13 in one of the biggest fights in boxing history. The rivals came face to face for the first time in Riyadh last week before locking horns again in New York on Sunday. And this time, Alvarez turned the meeting physical when he shoved the American.
Crawford was less than impressed by the move and responded by telling Alvarez he wouldn't forget. "Canelo, you’re going to pay for that weak a** push. I got you. Remember I said this," he said. Earlier, Crawford, who is jumping up two weight classes, vowed to leave Alvarez's Mexican fans disappointed.
"I'm just going to keep it real," he added. "I'm hunting him, that's it. I'm hunting everything that he's got and I'm going to take it come September 13. I want all the people in the stands that boo me, they are going to cry when they go home.
"I'm all about making history. I was the first two-time undisputed champion of the world. And I can assure you that I'm going to be the first three-time undisputed champion of the world. It just motivates me to go out there and put on a great performance. This is my homecoming fight. I'm expecting to win however it comes."
Alvarez, meanwhile, believes his weight and size advantage will prove crucial when he meets Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium in Sin City.

"I've been not favourite, a favourite. I've been in both situations but I'm going to be very disciplined," he said. "I'm going to put my best in the training camp. This is not an easy fight because [Crawford is] moving up and everything.
"I've been in that situation and that doesn't matter when you are a great fighter. I have experience, power and I believe I have advantages on my weight. It's going to be a good fight but I'm here to win.
"This is going to be one of my best fights in my history. For me it's very important to win this fight. I love boxing. I love winning. I'm a winner so I'm very excited to to be in the ring already."
