Following the release of the interview, body language expert Judi James has dissected Meghan’s appearance on the podcast. According to Judi, Meghan became “overwhelmed” when speaking about her children as well as her relationship with .
“Meghan’s references to her husband and children show her using body language that implies she is overwhelmed again but this time with love, not exhaustion,” she said.
However, Judi added that “one big theme” of the interview was how “incredibly busy” Meghan is. Since stepping back as a senior royal in 2020, the Duchess of Sussex has embarked on a number of different projects including her As Ever brand and series With Love, Meghan.
“She uses the eye flutter and sighs to illustrate and emphasise this important message during a pose of ‘happy agony’ where she looks upward with a smiling grimace. Her other ‘busy’ rituals include a sigh and her fingers get spiked to suggest muscle tension under pressure,” Judi said, speaking to Casino.ca.
“Meghan takes this further though, pinching the bridge of her nose to suggest exhaustion before the most dramatic gesture of all where she brings her whole hand up to cover her entire face in a masking ritual as she tells us ‘Oh my gosh I work so hard’ as her face contorts behind the hand.”
The podcast interview comes amid speculation over . Back in 2023 Prince Harry made headlines following the release of his book Spare, which became the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time.
When asked if she’d release another book, the Duchess of Sussex said: “Yes, maybe, for sure.” However, she quickly clarified: “And then, you know, I think people are often curious if I'm going to write a memoir, but I've got a lot more life to live before I'm there.”
In the same interview, Meghan gushed over husband Prince Harry and revealed how supportive he’d been following the release of As Ever. “H, that man loves me so much and you know, look what we've built. We have built a beautiful life and we have two healthy beautiful children. I always think about it, when you get the end of Super Mario Bros, the final final level and what's the goal in Super Mario,” she said.
“It's to slay the dragons and save the princess. And that's my husband, he's just out there and constantly doing whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected and that we are uplifted - and still make time for date nights.”
