Arsenal are ready to put Bukayo Saka in the top pay league as they step up efforts to tie him down to a new deal. The Gunners have agreed a new five year deal with William Saliba putting pen to paper tocommit himself to the Emirates until 2030.
They are now pushing full steam ahead with negotiations to get Saka to commit himself for the long term and the signs are positive they will reach agreement in the coming weeks. Saka, 24, is into the final two years of his deal and has already made encouraging public noises about wanting to stay and win trophies at Arsenal.
The club are also hopeful of reaching an agreement and, while there is nothing imminent, talks are understood to have left both sides positive that a deal can be done which would see him become one of Arsenal’s top earners and among the Premier League’s biggest stars.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta even insisted last week that, after tying down Saliba, they were keen to make Saka their next priority.
Saka knows his status as one of the best forwards of his generation for club and country means that he can command not just one of the top contracts at Arsenal but also in English football. The England star is a huge influence at Arsenal, incredibly popular, has a very high market value and is also a massive commercial draw.
Saliba’s deal was estimated to be around £250,000-a-week and was designed to fend off big European interest from the likes of Real Madrid. There would be no shortage of takers for Saka either and Arsenal are having a massive purge on contracts for key players.
Arsenal’s new sporting director Andrea Berta had a busy window after spending in excess of £300m in the summer. But Berta also made it clear that contracts and keeping key players is huge for the club.
They have reached agreements with Gabriel, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly in the past few months and Saka would be another hugely popular move among the fanbase to give the season another massive boost.
