Amanda Holden meets her 'number one lookalike' and makes cheeky husband-swap comment

Radio host Amanda Holden was surprised to meet her "doppelgänger" earlier this morning. The Britain's Got Talent judge came face-to-face with her "lookalike" Eve Bannerman whilst on air in the Heart Radio studio.

Amanda, 54, was introduced to the guest by her Heart Breakfast co-host Jamie Theakston, 54, on the radio show today. Whilst fronting it together, he told his colleague that Eve is the "number one Amanda Holden lookalike" in the UK, though she later admitted that it was her first booking.

Initially sat with her eyes closed, Amanda responded "no" when she heard who was seated in front of her during Jamie's introduction of the guest earlier. He then told the TV presenter: "Open your eyes. Amanda, meet your doppelgänger."

After setting her sights on Eve once she had opened her eyes, Amanda was heard laughing alongside the guest, who was sat beside her in the radio studio in London. Amanda then said: "At least she doesn't laugh like me!"

Jamie teased over a resemblance between the pair, with him saying: "It's essentially like putting a mirror in the studio." Amanda said that it's "very odd" before teasing that she "needs" two of herself due to her "busy" schedule.

She said: "Well, it is very odd. Yeah, it is very odd. I've always said I need two of me. I'm ever so busy." Teasing over her 17 year marriage to her husband Chris Hughes, she added: "I might send you off for the weekend with my husband."

Following laughter in the studio, her co-host Jamie replied: "Wow! Have you thought this through?" He went on to ask if Eve has been booked as a lookalike of former This Morning presenter Amanda, with the guest saying she hadn't.

He asked: "Have you had any bookings as an Amanda Holden lookalike?" Eve responded: "No, this is the first." Jamie then clarified the situation by asking: "This is the first one?" The guest on Heart Breakfast said: "Yes, this is the first."

Amanda then shared that she felt "flattered" by the comparison to Eve. The radio host said to the guest on the show: "Well, I'm ever so flattered because you're definitely younger than me. So, I will take that." Amanda added: "Definitely."

A clip of the interaction was shared on social media earlier and prompted reaction from fans. Some shared their amusement over the scene, with one person writing in the comments section on Instagram: "Listening to this was hilarious."

Others shared their thoughts on the comparison between Amanda and Eve. A number of fans suggested that they didn't look alike. One wrote: "Looks nothing like her." Someone else questioned in their reply: "Sorry but I don't see it?"

Not everyone felt the same though as some fans said that they did see a resemblance. One wrote in the comments section on the platform: "I think it looks a lot like her." Sharing their thoughts, another said: "They do look alike a lot."
