Mumbai: A case has been registered at Malabar Hill Police Station against an 18-year-old Car Driver for rash driving that resulted in Collision with Car, which was driving a pregnant businesswoman. The incident occurred on the night of July 13 around 10:50 PM, near Gate No. 08 of the Coastal Road northbound tunnel.
According to the FIR filed under Sections 281 and 125(A) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the accused has been identified as Om Manish Poddar, a resident of Bhuleshwar, Mumbai. A summons has been issued to him under Section 35(3) BNSA to appear for further investigation.

The complainant, Sonam Babani (33), was driving home from Marine Drive to Prabhadevi in her Mercedes when, near Gate No. 08 of the Coastal Road tunnel, the accused, driving a Honda City, allegedly rammed into her car from behind due to negligent and reckless driving. Sonam Babani, a businesswoman who is eight months pregnant, fortunately not sustained any injury in the collision.

His blood samples were collected and sent for examination to determine whether he was under the influence of any intoxicating substances at the time of the accident.
