Actor Ravi Mohan’s latest public appearance with singer and therapist Kenishaa Francis has reignited interest in his personal life. The two were seen together at the wedding of producer Ishari Ganesh’s daughter in Chennai, held on Friday. Dressed in coordinated golden traditional outfits, Ravi and Kenishaa’s appearance has once again brought their rumored relationship into the spotlight, especially months after Ravi’s separation from his wife, Aarti Ravi, was announced.

While Kenishaa had earlier clarified in an interview with DT Next that their connection was professional, and she was working with Ravi as a therapist, the renewed public appearance has triggered speculation. In the past, both had denied romantic involvement, calling themselves just friends.

Aarti Ravi Breaks Her Silence

Soon after the wedding images circulated online, Aarti Ravi, Ravi’s estranged wife, took to Instagram with a detailed and emotional statement. In her note, she addressed the ongoing divorce and the toll it has taken on her and their children. Aarti and Ravi were married for 18 years and are parents to two boys, aged 10 and 14.

“For a year, I have carried silence like armour. Not because I was weak, but because my sons needed peace more than I needed to be heard,” Aarti began in her post. She wrote about enduring silence amidst “accusations, allegations, and cruel whispers,” explaining that she chose not to respond publicly for the sake of her children.

She stated, “Today while the world sees carefully curated appearances and photo captions, our reality is very different. My divorce is still ongoing. But the man I once stood beside for 18 years... has not just walked away from me- but from the very responsibilities he once promised to honour.”

Facing Emotional and Financial Strain

Aarti also accused Ravi of walking away from his duties as a father, leaving her solely responsible for the emotional and financial upbringing of their children. In her note, she revealed that she has been caring for the children alone, and alleged that there had been no support — emotional or financial — from Ravi since the separation.

“Every book, every meal, every quiet tear at night - held, healed and carried by me. Not a whisper of emotional or financial support has followed from the one who once called them his pride,” she wrote.

Aarti also revealed that she and her sons are now facing eviction from their home, allegedly on the instructions of Ravi, the same man who helped build the house with her. Responding to accusations of being a “gold digger,” she stated that she chose love and trust, not material security.

Children Caught in the Middle

In a particularly emotional section of her note, Aarti spoke about how the children have been affected. She emphasized that though they are too young to grasp legalities, they are old enough to feel abandonment. “They deserve security, not shock. Stability, not silence,” she wrote.

She added, “Every unanswered call, every cancelled meeting, every cold message meant for me but read by them - these are not just oversights. They are wounds.”

Aarti concluded her statement by asserting her role not just as a mother, but as someone determined to protect her children. “I do not cry. I do not scream. I stand tall, because I must. For the two boys who still call you Appa. And for them, I will never back down.”

She also requested that the media refrain from referring to her as an “ex-wife” until the legal process is complete, stating, “I remain Aarti Ravi until both I and the law decide otherwise.”
