It is because of him that the world is still surviving: Pahalgam victim Lt. Vinay Narwal's wife in heart-wrenching adieu

Indian Navy Lieutenant Vinay Narwal was one of the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 28 on Tuesday. The navy personnel was paid respect at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Wednesday.

In a heart-wrenching video, his wife was seen weeping inconsolably in the last moments with her husband. "I hope his soul rest in peace. He lived a good life. He made us really proud, and we should keep this pride in every way," she said with trembling voice as she broke down.

“It is because of him that the world is still surviving ” she added.


According to reports, the couple got married on April 16 and were holidaying in Pahalgam.

Indian Navy Chief, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, paid a mark of respect by laying wreath at the mortal remains of Narwal. Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta also paid homage to the Pahalgam terror attack victim. She was seen trying to comfort his wife.

The mortal remains will be taken to Haryana's Karnal, where he is originally from. MLA Jagmohan Anand met his family in Karnal. Family members of late navy officer were seen weeping, hugging the MLA.

Earlier, the Indian Navy, condemned the attack, extending condolences to the families of the victims.

"Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS, and all Personnel of the Indian Navy are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Lt Vinay Narwal, who fell to the dastardly terror attack in Pahalgam. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family during this moment of unimaginable grief. The Indian Navy also stands in solemn solidarity with all others who lost their lives in this heinous act of violence," read a post by the Navy.
