Premier League forced to apologise as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham fixture dates confirmed

Send Push

The Premier League have confirmed the dates, kick-off times and broadcast schedule for fixtures taking place in the upcoming 2025/26 campaign this September.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham have pre-season preparations underway and will soon be joined by Chelsea, who have taken their summer break after winning the FIFA Club World Cup earlier this month.

The likes of Brentford, Crystal Palace, Fulham and West Ham will also be hoping for strong seasons, which they are already looking towards.

The new season gets underway midway through August. The league had previously announced the final schedule for the three rounds of matches matches taking place next month but had not done so for September.

So, the Premier League have finally locked in their September matches and in the statement released issued an apology for only just doing so, despite still following their commitment to finalise details at least six weeks in advance.

The statement read: "The broadcast selections have been announced for live TV in the UK for Premier League matches in Matchweeks 4, 5 and 6 in September.

"While the Premier League's fixture announcement dates advised that September's fixtures would be released on 9 July, delays in local approvals for fixtures unfortunately meant only August fixtures were announced on this date.

"The Premier League would like to apologise for not being able to confirm these fixtures until now. However, today’s announcement is in line with our commitment to give at least six weeks’ notice for fixture announcements before January.

"All kick-off times are 15:00 BST unless otherwise mentioned."
